The book shop, the cross and the umbrellaA woman with a round umbrella in front of a book shop in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

I directly felt that I must take that shot. The strict, straight lines of the windows, of the shelves, of the books, contrast with the woman’s round umbrella and the light bulb. I did a the old black & white post processing with Alien Skin Exposure 7, which is a fantastic tool for film-like processing.

She was sitting on a bench, reading an economy book, yes, university has begun :) Then I see her glasses and observe that Cluj-Napoca’s St Michael cathedral is reflecting in it. I got my shot of the day :) I’m quite happy of the resolution of the Canon 6D with the 24-70 lens, this picture being a 100% crop of the original file.

An old man texting.

An old man texting… whomever it could be. Much people said it’s a shame we don’t see his feet. In the contrary, with his trousers high on the waist, he looks like a trunk, as if this man was an old tree in the middle of the fair. The time it took for him to write his message reminds me of that, too 🙂
